TT Film Festival 2021

It is always a great pleasure to contribute to fellow artists and I had another opportunity this year to share with filmmakers thanks to the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival 2021 Edition which was held at the end of September- this time, I was able to chat virtually about the basics of copyright. Everyone involved in the creative industries knows that copyright is important to them (respecting it and exploiting it) but there is often confusion surrounding the elusive construct. With advances in technology, the answers to copyright questions can become nebulous- think of a meme, and then make it viral- you get the idea. While the answer still often is ‘It depends’ this session was a lovely way to make copyright bite sized for independent filmmakers. In case you missed it, the link is available here:
