Super Single Cindy Returns!
It is February and I enjoyed a great, mostly cold and wintery January with the exception of my L.A. trip. I really needed a break after the intense work for ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’ with our theatre group and spending January unplugged was almost like a cosy little retreat. During that time of course, the New Year bug hit and I thought about all the things I want to do this year if I’m fortunate enough to make it through. Of course, first on that list was the release of a Super Single Cindy sketch that has been in post-production purgatory for a year! That sketch (Sketch No. 6) is yet another creative collab with my theatre husband and friend, the talented Kearn Samuel adding to the list of projects we’ve worked on together which includes the play in December and my ‘Bingo’ parody. It needed a lot of little edits and tricks but it was sure to the perfect sketch to release for Valentine’s Day, highlighting his acting skills and my character’s gullibility. I got to it as soon as I got back home from my family time and was able to connect with the good people at the Skip D Line App for a lovely partnership that included a customized promo code SPRCNDY10 for a discount on Valentine’s Day food delivery. Of course, the ‘girl’s man’ is a recognizable character so it was no surprise that it resonated with lots of viewers. I was happy to finally get that sketch out of limbo and present it to the world. Now, with some major adjustments to production and a decision to start sharing clips on TikTok (cuz, you know, we just have to migrate lol) I am ready to continue my journey into content creation for 2022! Now, I’m still not quite into a sustainable routine with work and school but I’m getting there and committed to getting it all done.
